In
1989 the association "Chessfriends Rochade 5171" was
founded in order to participate only in correspondance chess team
competitions.
Presently Rochade 5171 is represented by 70
members from different countries and takes part with 9 teams in
the BdF team championship (Bundesliga) and with 10 teams in the
ICCF Champions League.
For its 20th anniversary a strong
invitational team tournament will be played and the BdF President
and former world champion Dr Fritz Baumbach warmly supporting our
event.
The tournament is supported by the BdF (particularly
by its President Dr.Baumbach) and was confirmed from ICCF, thus it
is possible to participants to achieve ICCF norms GM, SIM or IM,
the games will be taken into account for the ICCF rating.

We play with 15 teams at
10 boards by ICCF-Server. All
players at the same board play each other - 14 games per
player.

Prize
money for this tournament are :
500 Euro for the winning
team,
200 Euro for the runner-up and
100 Euro for the 3rd
place.
The
valid rules are the ICCF playing rules for server
tournaments.
The
calculation used for this tournament is the team points (2 points
for the a won team match, 1 point for a draw), in case of tie
break the total points achieved on all boards will decide, then
the best results on top boards.
All
participants must be members of ICCF federations with possibility
to organise international teams (it is not necessary that all
members of a team come from the same country).
